NSW Schools Rugby was first organised in 1971 which makes this year the 50th anniversary of the organization. During this time it has gone from an association providing pathways for some of the rugby playing schools to representing all schools and students who play rugby in NSW. The constitution has evolved over the last few years to include girls rugby pathways and also support development programs within schools in the state. It also works closely with NSWRU and NSW Juniors to ensure that pathways are being provided for all rugby playing boys and girls at school. In its 50thyear the challenges continue but the vibrant and  dynamic committee members ensure that these opportunities continue to be developed and provided for NSW school students who love rugby.
